The timing and position of intercourse are very important factors in determining whether you conceive a baby boy or girl.

The father-to-be's sperm come with (X) and (Y) chromosomes, the (X) chromosome will produce a girl baby and the (Y) chromosome will produce a boy baby. The difference between the to sperm is profound as the (Y) or boy sperm is a very fast swimmer, but fragile and short lived. The (X) or girl sperm on the other hand is slower moving and very hardy and long lived.

Timing of Sex or Intercourse to Conceive a Baby Boy or Girl

Because of the differences in the (X) and (Y) sperm timing of intercourse becomes a critical factor in gender selection.

If you want to conceive a boy baby, you want to give the quicker but fragile (Y) boy sperm exposure to the egg immediately, so having sex on the day you ovulate is recommended.

If you want to conceive a girl baby you'll want to have sex several days before you ovulate to give the (Y) boy sperm time to die off and not have a chance to fertilize the waiting egg.

The (Y) boy sperm will die off fairly quickly (depending on the acidity of the vaginal tract) while the (X) girl sperm can live for about 5 days. Unfortunately many women can have an irregular cycle or can ovulate earlier then normal, so the timing of intercourse can become more difficult.

Sexual Positions Favoring a Boy or Girl Baby

The position you have intercourse in can be critical in determining the gender of your baby. Generally the (X) or boy sperm need to be given quick, close access the the waiting egg, while to (Y) girl sperm need to be given the time to outlive the (X) boy sperm.

Sexual Positions to Have a Boy Baby

Keeping in mind the fragility and quickness of the (Y) or boy sperm, and wanting to conceive a baby boy, you will want to have sex in positions that allow deep penetration, such as the rear entry position or the modified missionary position where the woman places her legs on the man's shoulders. Placing a pillow under the woman's pelvis can also help. The man will of course need to ejaculate as deeply as possible to deposit the sperm as close to the waiting egg as possible, and create a short quick trip for the (Y) sperm.

Sexual Positions to Have a Girl Baby

If you want to conceive a girl baby, it becomes important to give the (X) or girl sperm time and distance so they can outlive the (Y) or boy sperm. Shallow penetration is best to give the girl sperm a long and time consuming trip to the egg. Positioning becomes less important, but just keep in mind that shallow penetration during intercourse, and especially at the time of ejaculation will provide the best chance of having that little baby girl!

No matter what the reason there are steps you can take to greatly improve your chance of conceiving a boy! Here's a list of some of the things you can do to tip the odds in favor of conceiving that baby boy you want:

• Timing conception to occur at the end of your fertility cycle
• Have intercourse in ways that improve the odds of conceiving a boy
• Keep your body's PH at the proper level to ensure survival of (Y) sperm

Now lets take a closer look at how you can implement these three simple steps to improve the odds of having the baby boy you desire. Having a baby boy may take a little more diligence on your part than having a baby girl (follow the steps precisely to give yourself the best chance of success in conceiving a baby boy.)

Timing conception to occur at the end of your fertility cycle

You need to keep track of your ovulation precisely until you know which day you will be ovulating. Avoid having sex for at least three days prior to this, than have intercourse as close to ovulation as possible, and the next day as well.

The reason for this is the difference between the sperm. The (X) chromosome sperm (which produces a girl baby) and the sperm with the (Y) chromosome which will result in a boy.
The (X) sperm (girl) is stronger and longer lived than the (Y) sperm (boy) which tend to be the faster swimmers. So by waiting to have intercourse until the day of ovulation you give the fast swimming (Y) sperm(boy) the best chance to fertilize the egg thus producing the baby boy you want.

To be as precise as possible in tracking your ovulation cycle I would recommend the saliva ovulation predictors. They are cheap, accurate, reusable, and easily obtained.

Have intercourse in ways that improve the odds of having a boy

The position in which you have intercourse can greatly increase the likelihood of conceiving a boy. Because the (Y) sperm are short lived but faster swimmers than the (X) sperm, having sex in a position that puts the sperm as close to the egg as possible is beneficial. In other words positions that allow the deepest penetration are best, this gives the (Y) or(boy) sperm the best chance of fertilizing the egg.

Keep your body's PH at the proper level to ensure the survival of the(Y) sperm

The (Y) sperm that will create a boy is compromised by a low (acidic) PH while the (X) sperm (girl) is stronger and not troubled as much by this. So if you want a boy you must try and create the proper PH level in your body. How to do this? You should get PH test strips to take the guess work out of it. Eating the proper foods that are rich in potassium such as bananas, figs, apricots,and strawberries are all good. If you have difficulty keeping the proper PH, you may need to douche to control your PH levels, and help you to insure the delicate (Y) sperm survive to fertilize your the egg. This is an often asked question, and indeed there are foods that can promote the right balance in your body create the environment that's conducive to having a baby boy or girl.

Foods to eat to improve your chance of conceiving a baby boy

If you would like to conceive a baby boy the first thing you should do is bump up your caloric intake to 2200 calories or so per day. I know this sounds like a lot to eat, but it's been proven to work.

Also make sure to eat a good high calorie breakfast, especially the mornings of intimacy. Before you just start eating everything in sight, be aware you do need to choose the right foods to eat also!

Choosing the right foods to eat when wanting a baby boy

The (y) sperm or the sperm that will produce a boy baby is not nearly as hardy as the (x) sperm which will produce a girl baby.

The (y) sperm can quickly die off if encountering a highly acidic vaginal PH. By eating the right foods you can raise your body's PH and give the (y) sperm a better chance of fertilizing your egg thus producing a boy baby. In effect you need to "alkalize your body" if you wish to conceive a baby boy therefore foods high in sodium and potassium are best. Here's a list of foods that will favor conceiving a baby boy:

• Vegetables (excluding corn)
• Apricots
• raisins
• nuts
• All Bran
• baked potatoes
• bananas
• watermelon

In addition to eating the right foods douching is recommended

To maintain the proper vaginal PH douching is recommended in addition to eating the right foods. If you are truly serious about having a boy baby you should take all the necessary steps to give yourself the best chance!

First you will need to find out your vaginal PH and be able to monitor it. You do this by getting some PH test strips or go to your local health food store.

If you're trying to conceive a baby boy, you should know that there are several things that you can do at home to help you accomplish this goal. These things are not that difficult, but they do require planning, patience, a bit of diligence, and the correct tools. Luckily, many of them are things that you will already be doing any way in an attempt to conceive. You'll just be tweaking them a little bit to tip the odds in your favor of having the boy that you want. So, let's get to it.

Timing Your Conception To Occur At The End Of Your Fertility Cycle To Conceive A Boy: Most people know that timing your conception will influence your baby's gender, but not every one understands why. The sperm that produces a male baby and a girl baby are very different from one another. The girl sperm are the slow, poky, but unwavering and hardy warriors, while the boy sperm are very quick, but are also just as quick to burn out and die off, making them much more vulnerable.

So, if you want a boy, timing becomes extremely important. Because, if you are too early, the boy sperm are vulnerable to weakness or dying off if they have to wait for the egg. In the best case scenario, the boy sperm are fresh and ready to go when the egg is released. This is most likely to occur on the day of or the day following ovulation.

Many people are content to guess at this, but don't. Because this step is just too important to ignore. I recommend using saliva ovulation predictors, but urine works too. Find a method that gives you a warning of when ovulation is approaching so that you can be prepared to pounce when the time is right.

Ways To Have Intercourse To Get A Boy Baby: So, we've discussed when to send the boy sperm to the egg, now we'll discuss how to do this and why it's important. Again, remembering that the boy sperm are extremely vulnerable, you want to make their exposure between release and the egg as short and as quick as possible. The best way to do this is to use sexual positions that allow for deep penetration. (Remember to do this on the day of ovulation, or at most on the day after. Even a day early or a day later can make all the difference.)

How (and Why) To Alkalize Your Body (Lowering Your PH And Acidity) To Get A Boy Baby: I've covered when and how to get the boy sperm to the promised land of conception. Now, I'll cover the last, but equally important, step. This is creating an environment that is not going to kill of these guys before they even have a chance. Because the sperm that will give you a son can not thrive for very long if your vaginal PH is too high. Most women will need to lower it, however one way to be sure is to use PH testing strips. This will tell you how alkaline you naturally are and how much you'll need to tweak this before you are ready to conceive a boy.

How do you tweak? There are a few ways. You can go on a low PH or alkalizing diet and / or you can douche with solutions that lower acidity. A friend of mine who has interstitial cystitis (bladder sensitivity) told me that the boy diet was actually pretty close to the low acid diet she is on because the acidic foods irritate her bladder.

The douching part is typically not as bad as you might think either. The solutions are more than baking soda and water, but usually you don't have to do this for too long (especially if you use the diet concurrently) until you are at the optimum level.

Putting It All Together: Hopefully, you can see that none of these steps are too difficult. The key is to methodically address each of them, because doing so will give you the best chance (as high as roughly 94% if you play your cards right) of success. It's really just a matter of having a plan, having the tools, and having the discipline to follow through.
